Project
Beautification of Tveritskaya Embankment in Yaroslavl
Category
Best Project of Public Space by Student
About the project (provided by the applicant)
As the design site joins the Volga, one of the biggest rivers in Earth, its concept is based on the rings in the water. These are a long-known symbol of infinity, movement, and breaching of obstacles. They represent the river’s dynamics and power, its unpredictability and opportunities. The composition of rings will add zest to the place and become a symbol of its uniqueness and significance. Hardscaping elements — the children’s slides, swings, and sandboxes will represent different states of water that can be liquid and solid when frozen.
