Yogyakarta, a hub for culture and arts, presents a diverse range of artistic works, including music, dance, and theater. In addition to showcasing domestic works, Yogyakarta also frequently hosts international collaboration concerts. As a form of musical development, the Keraton Yogyakarta also presents the Yogyakarta Royal Orchestra, which features a fusion of traditional and classical music performances. Additionally, Yogyakarta also boasts 72 art festivals.
This Performance Art Center aims to realize the government's plan to present a building with a large capacity and best acoustic quality. Hence, this project propose an international concert hall with a capacity of 1700 people, a secondary concert hall with a capacity of 900 people, an exhibition building to showcase both traditional and contemporary art from Yogyakarta, and a library as a place to learn about art.
