About the project (provided by the applicant)
50 Glen Echo single family is a two-story house with a basement. The first floor features a living room, a dining room, and a TV room, while the second floor accommodates three bedrooms and one master bedroom. The basement houses a gym, a wet bar, a laundry room, a mechanical room, and a nanny's room. The design of the walls and furniture is in harmony with the space. The curved staircase is a magnificent element that also divides the functional spaces. The design is inspired by vernacular architecture while harmonizing with modern architectural elements. The building materials, chosen for their local availability and cultural significance, are predominantly wood, with a limited combination of stone and metal. The house is filled with natural light, and the artificial lighting includes spotlights, linear lights, and chandeliers complementing the spaces, furniture, and design concept. All of these aspects combined provide a cozy and pleasant environment for the residents.
