About the project (provided by the applicant)
In traditional architecture in the northern regions of Iran, various techniques were employed to maximize the utilization of the surrounding environment while minimizing the adverse effects of the local climate. When constructing houses, three distinct strategies were commonly employed. Firstly, they allowed the residential section to remain elevated on raised platforms to prevent the infiltration of excessive ground moisture. Additionally, on the upper floors, they constructed terraces oriented towards the optimal views or sunlight exposure, enhancing the residential spaces.
Taking into account the 25% allowable construction area on the ground level of the project, this space has been expanded into defined volumes with specific uses spread across the site. Each of these spaces is interconnected with one another through internal corridors, ensuring seamless circulation. Each volume is proportioned accordingly to its designated area.
