This land was located in a town that had a challenge in its yard. The yards in this town face the street without walls.
In fact, the lands of this town have boundaries, but they do not have privacy. Therefore, we could not use the yard much because of the Iranian culture for which privacy is important.
Therefore, we tried to create a small courtyard in the center of the house in this villa, which makes the space flexible and gives the residents of this villa different possibilities in using this space.
We divided the volume of this villa into 9 parts and emptied the middle part, this concept gave us several possibilities:
- optional use of the central space based on the user's needs,
- space flexibility — if the bi-fold windows of the central courtyard are open or closed, it creates a different space with its side use.
