Solar Wind in Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve

Best Art in Outdoor Public Space

About the project (provided by the applicant)

Solar Wind kinetic sculpture by Marina Zvyagintseva is exhibited in the Looking for Popular Art exposition in the Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve. It is public art featuring an installation with 4 tall trees. It looks like a gold lit grove in the sunset and an enormously big folk toy.

The composition is based on the metaphoric Tree of Life, which is quite common for the Russian cultural code. Red and yellow paint prints on pinwheels were made with the unique performative biotipia method. Wind and nature contribute to the installation as location of pinwheels depends on them.
