About the project (provided by the applicant)

Erofey Markov is known as a dissident peasant  who discovered a gold ore field in 1745.  For the village of Staropyshminsk, the topic of gold and gold mining is essential, and all the local history and culture is full it. There is no surprise that design of the local library was inspired by it. Thanks to its ‘history of gold’ the state-of-the-art village library can become not just a book depository but a history museum.  Interior design and furniture will feature symbols of the region, like gold-colored book shelves that refer to gold veins and imply that books on them are the true gold.
