Best Design Project for Library

About the project (provided by the applicant)

The key mission of this project was turning a small underground room into a really magical place. Inspired with the idea of an old railway station and the atmosphere of Harry Potter series, the library got its name — Platform 8/11.

Station signs, lamps, floor tiling with a carpet, and brass details add to the atmosphere of magic travel. Owls, the Hogwarts Express, and flying books can be found in every location of the library. Olivander-store-style bookshelves were designed for the children’s section, and the teenager part has its own Come and Go room. At the same time, the designers didn’t just focus on the visuals — this place is comfortable for all visitors and offers places for private reading, group sessions, and literature-related events.
