About the project (provided by the applicant):
The author suggests to update the existing master layout of the city and locate an innovative cluster near the Lakhta Center. The new district will be capable of 22,900 people and will comprise 2 scientific IT sectors. Inspired with the history of St. Petersburg’s urban development in the Neoclassical style, the project uses methods typical for European cities. The block that was designed in detail was the innovative technology demonstration center. It connects science and people. Appearance of the center contrasts on the prevailing Neoclassical style of the development and resembles a glass flower bud.
