About the project (provided by the applicant)
The project was designed to renovate the historic center of an industrial community dating back to the 18th century. The existing wooden buildings and some new facilities will be integrated into today’s urban planning context. Its goal is preservation of historic heritage and creation of favorable environment and an attraction for locals and tourists. The design solutions are based on the analysis of the existing visuals and archived documents. The author suggests dividing the design site into the public and residential sectors. They will be connected with the park located along the valley of the Orlinka River.
