Project:
Polezhaevsky Park in St. Petersburg — landscaping revitalization
Category:
Best Project of Public Space by Student
About the project (provided by the applicant):
The designers want to establish an environment that would be comfortable for people and local fauna — birds, fish, insects, and animals. In fact, this will be an eco-park.
The city’s green zones will remain connected as they are but new walkways towards the eco-park will be added, as it is designed as a public attraction site. The redesigned park will retain its historical and memorial value, and it will also get new functions, including active leisure, walking, farming and agriculture.
