Regeneration of the Strelka Ensemble

About the project
The regeneration of the Strelka ensemble in Yaroslavl is extremely relevant at present. Creating a museum complex at this location is a highly demanded and discussed topic due to the lack of specially designed facilities for these needs—currently, the city's main museums are located in historical buildings that were not originally intended for museum exhibitions.
The selected project territory is located in the historical center of Yaroslavl—the so-called Rublenyi Gorod (Hewn Town).
Historical Quarter No. 2 deserves special mention.
Previously, several other buildings were located in the quarter, including the Church of John Chrysostom in Rublenyi Gorod and the Merchant Litov's Estate. Neither structure has survived to the present day. The quarter's territory is partially in ruins and partially abandoned. Our work offers a competent solution to the problems of this area while being careful with the historical heritage.
