About the Project
Markina Gora Mount is the only natural vista point in the very center of Khvalynsk. The authors were inspired by a lighthouse, a high-rise dominant drawing the eye up. They designed a triangular watchtower, its three sides providing the most advantageous views of the city.

At the bottom of the mount stand two residential houses: Granate takes its name from pomegranates carved in its wood and its crimson color; opposite to it there is Faceless two-storeyed brick house, with a rather unremarkable facade.

The authors managed to find a solution for Granate to resonate Faceless – for this, the brick façade of the latter was to be painted in Calligraffiti style.

Lovers of puzzles and quests would enjoy a bright highlight provided on the roof of Granate: inspired by Fabrizio Corneli’s works, the authors designed a light-and-dark image of Petrov-Vodkin that will be visible at night to anyone looking from the top of the mount.
