About the project
This is a two-storeyed house of 149 m2 in the Leningrad region for a young couple. It is very compact, and although it’s not large, it has everything required for comfortable living in the country. A combined kitchen-diner-sitting-room at the ground floor is great for large parties.

In the diner, there’s an open chimney, designed by the studio and framed with natural marble. Every square meter of the house is used for a purpose. The first floor comprises a studio, a study, a bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe, and a balcony entry.

Laconic facades feature various materials like plastering, natural wood and stone, and suit perfectly into the forest environment of the site. The house looks contemporary and bright whatever the weather.
