About the project
Saratov is inseparably connected with Volga, where industrial and tourist vessels used to navigate. Today, this navigation has been ceased, and Volga is closed for residents and tourists. At the embankment there are some out-of-service mills, left by industrial enterprises.

Mills are great dominants that shape the carcass of the embankment, They resemble fortresses, and that’s why the embankment is associated with a fort. We decided to extend the historical carcass through adding some local fort-looking offshore highlights, similar in appearance to the existing mills. It will make Volga available for citizens and tourists, and every fort will be given a unique function.
