2020 Golden Trezzini Awards: more than 350 projects and counting

Number of projects taking part in the Third Golden Trezzini Awards has exceeded the last year’s result. Applications are being accepted till October 15.

More than 350 projects are approved for participation in the Third Golden Trezzini Awards for Architecture and Design, the Arrangement Committee reports. These are works from 43 countries: Argentina, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, China, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Lebanon, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Spain, Syria, Turkey, Ukraine, the UAE, the United Kingdom, the USA, and Yemen. Thank you, dear participants!

Remarkably, 350 projects from Russia, Belarus, the United Kingdom, Latvia, the UAE, Finland, and Korea were competing at the Second Golden Trezzini Awards (2019), which were all-Russian with limited international participation. The winners were awarded certificates and designer Golden Trezzini figurines in the Atrium of the Commandant House within the Peter and Paul Fortress on November 27, 2019. In 2020, last year’s number of participants has been already exceeded, and projects are still being accepted till October 15.

By the way, Domenico Trezzini (1670—1734), Russian architect of Swiss origin, the first architect of St. Petersburg, who gave his name to the Awards, is turning 350 in 2020! The beauty of numbers is unbeatable!

The International Golden Trezzini Awards for Architecture and Design have been held since 2018. The motto of the Awards is “Architecture as Art.” The Awards are intended to acknowledge and promote architectural and designer projects that amount to works of art.

The Honorary Chairman of the International Council of the Awards is Mikhail Piotrovsky, General Director of the State Hermitage, St. Petersburg.
