About the project
The Diamond Crown Plaza in Hai Phong, Vietnam, consists of two main blocks – the residential and hotel towers. The residential is a U-shaped building that mimics an embracing gesture to welcome people to stay. The hotel or Signature Tower is triangular and set to be the landmark for the city. The structures display a crown expression which starts from the lower floors and progresses upward in a form of lattice made of a beautiful polished ceramic material. The shape of the lattice and the form of the crown is inspired by a lotus flower, a beautiful symbol of Vietnam. The lattice and lotus pattern are evidently visible while the whole area gets glued together on the ground by an organically composed landscape that follows the same rhythm and design of the two complex. The final touch to the project is given by the architectural and landscape lighting design. LED lines are embedded within the lattices' structure creating a beautiful dynamic programming that bestows a futuristic feel.
