Post-Pandemic Community Shelters in the Forest

About the project
A sense of tranquility and carefree runs through the feel of its narrow paths. The art shelters are located in front of the forested cliffs of the island of Rügen in Germany. These small isolated but interconnected volumes were born with the desire to offer a residential solution that emerged from human introspection for a post-pandemic context in a place of enviable beauty. In this way, the project aims to establish a self-sufficient disgregated community in spaces designed to promote creative inspiration, housed under an Architecture that bets on formal simplicity and the enhancement of its natural environment. Each temporary residence constitutes a part of the landscape: a piece that delves into the inspiring capacity of nature, and whose design focuses on encouraging careful observation of the site. The work community is developed in a satellite way around the nucleus, a piece that solves the social program designed with a deep horizontality sits in cantilever over the forest.
