Project
Moscow – Designing the Future
Category
Best Implemented Project of Temporary or Permanent Museum Exposition
About the project
The exhibition is dedicated to the 30th Birthday of the Moscow City Architecture Committee and the 70th Anniversary of the Moscow Master Layout Institute. It presents a story of Moscow’s urban planning and architectural development, telling the visitor about the past, present, and future of the city. Documentaries about events that shaped the modern looks of the Russian capitals were specially shot by History of the Future Studio by Mikhail Zygar. A multimedia installation covers the master layout design history and demonstrates the main concepts used and basic milestones in the city’s urban development.
A peculiar section called Utopia showcases bold urban transformation ideas that often are rather divorced from reality.
