About the project
Weekend home, a house located in Naple, Florida, separates us from the hectic life of the city, gives you peace and calm through the visual exchange with nature, eloquently inserting itself into it. Its brutalism expression with a minimalist interior concept with wide spaces that leaves only the basic elements to live.
It is a house that, due to its materials, makes it very resistant, so its maintenance will be very little, it is a small bunker in the forest.
The house adapts to the topography so as not to be so aggressive, thus allowing it to be staggered on 3 levels. It consists of living room, dining room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, deck and pool.
It is a house designed for rest, relaxation and meditation; Only basic technological elements will be present in it.

Studio BAS & Julio Lau Borrayo.
Julio Lau Borrayo studied architecture in Cuba, at CUJAE. I created an architecture studio together with some colleagues called Studio BAS, with 8 years of founding we have worked in different sectors. We are dedicated to designing and executing our work. Now we live in Florida, United States.
