About the project
The climbing camp is located in the gorge of the Zeskho torrent. The site with no significant level difference holds several buildings from the old times. As the place is quite isolated, the new facility has to be self-sufficient.
Svanetian villages have become the composition basis – their seclusion and housing density.
The new facility will comprise the public premises and the living quarters. The first ones will be massive, with extensive plastered and glazed walls, with wooden details on the facades, whereas residential volumes will be mainly finished with wood. Proportions and traditional ornaments are typical for Svaneti.
