About the project
The layout of these living quarters comprises three parts, with a dominant house-portal, standing along the bank of the Galernaya Haven.
The key axis of the quarters goes through arcades of courtyards, and in the south it follows the configuration of the existing building. The U-shaped block here curtains the historical development. Another axis that is perpendicular to the main one runs from the portal house to the boiler chimney.
The long house with four yards in the north has an arch that invites the goers by to visit the internal promenade, the new attraction for the citizens.
Finishing materials are brick and granite – typical for St. Petersburg.
