About the project
The renovation project is based on the thorough research study performed. The designers wanted to keep as much original as possible and restore this memorial’s layout. The building was upgraded with engineering utilities, and thanks to the smart technological solutions it can now be used as the museum and exhibition center.Contemporary elements installed after the War were disassembled as they defaced this listed facility. The original pieces were carefully restored, including plastering at the main façade, brick chimneys, the front stairs, and interiors of the grand hall. Some of the ruined elements were restored in compliance with the similar ones – the steel canopy at the entrance, stucco elements on the facades, and color palettes of the facades and interiors.
