Béatrice Latteier joined the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs in 1985. Her first assignment was in the Consular Service in London followed by Paris, Hong Kong and Tokyo. In 1996 she was transferred to Dublin as Head of Operations and in 2000 to Beijing in the same capacity. From 2003 to 2007 she worked at the Head Office in Berne in the Internal Audit Department. During this time, she graduated in Public Business Administration. Berne was followed by Buenos Aires, New Delhi and Madrid in the capacity of operations manager. From 2018 to June 2022, she was on assignment as Deputy Director at the Trade Office of Swiss Industries in Taipei.
She started her tenure as Consul General of Switzerland in St. Petersburg in August 2022.
