About the project
“Out of thin air”, based on the play by French playwright Sébastien Thiéry, had its premiere on May 21, 2022. At first glance, the comedy is a showcase of an absurd situation when ordinary people literally get their money “out of thin air”. But in fact, this play explores much more dramatic and difficult issues, that is what price one has to pay for his\her hidden desires. It reminds us that nothing happens “just like that”, because the law of conservation of matter also applies to people's relationships, to their souls and morality. And perhaps laughter is a way to make the audience ponder what we sacrifice when we forget about everyone but ourselves. The set design features a video game-like performance space.
