Project
St. Petersburg’s waterfront
Category

About the project
The town of Kronshtadt in the Gulf of Finland shapes the waterfront of St. Petersburg. Going backwards, this was where frigates of Peter the Great used to anchor.
Bringing the past, the present, and the future together, the author developed the single façade design at the edge of the Gulf of Finland.
The Constructivist approach was abandoned in favor of the Futuristic one, as the pneumatic transport of the future implies that humans will finally be able to fly.
Balconies of the living quarters will automatically close their shutters in case it snows or rains, and they will also be used for the locals to dismount right into their apartments.
