Project
Stone Age Museum
Category
Best Implemented Project of Temporary or Permanent Museum Exposition
About the project
The concept of the open-air stone age museum implied recreation of petroglyphs from all over Fennoskandia, which is from today’s Denmark to Russia.
As most of the petroglyphs are located in hard-to-reach places, where not too many people can see them, the designers decided to bring this secret story to a single place. All the images are designed with much care to the original, and scientific advisors took part in the project. Fluorescent inscriptions ensure good visibility even at night.
Two stone labirints were designed, with the centerpiece of the exhibition – the Stone Spirit.
