About the project
The river of Moskva is a complex and extensive water reservoir with many cities and historic findings located along its course. The MOSKVAREKA Museum is not only a place to learn about history, flora, and fauna of the Russian capital’s major river – it is a metaphor of transience of life, which is as turbulent and rapid as this waterway.
Any river is a sophisticated biological system, which the author considers through the prism of natural tiers. The project comprises the dynamic surrounding grounds, the vintage store, the interfloor expositions above and below the water level, a café with an imitation of the damp river bed with dining tables like sunk boats.
