About the project
The architectural function of the building is built around the idea of sustainable research Centre along with an educational institute, that looks after in-depth research on the forest and green zones of the cities and provide better strategies and rules to improve the living conditions of the people in the city. The research aimed at studying the vast diversity of natural flora and fauna within the busy city of Mumbai. The site chosen had a natural contour which were retained throughout the design process to utilize the slope. according to the density of the trees on the site spaces are designed like more dense shaded spaces are used for leisure activities.buildings are planned in c-shape courtyards open towards wind direction which traps the air and circulates inside building and series of small green courtyard acts a spill out areas for the classrooms & maintain cross ventilation. Bamboo, tensile sheets and polycarbonate sheets are used as a construction material.
