Crime and Punishment. Dreams and Anguishes of Rodion Raskolnikov
Category
Best Implemented Theatre Set Design
About the project
This performance was directed by a production group from Japan managed by Director Motoi Miura. The decorations were inspired by the views of St. Petersburg as they had been described by Dostoyevsky.
Dramatic critic Elena Gorfunkel outlines that the scenic decisions showcase so many landmarks of the city that the audience can’t fail to recognize them. The accurately captured images of the city represent the restless and split mind of the main character, his feverish and anguishing thoughts.
