Project
Sunday school in Aksai
Category
Best Project of Public Building or Facility
About the project
In this project, the traditional temple architecture is fused with some contemporary elements. The age-old brick arcs protect from rain and sunlight.
Modern details are represented in the glass contour, located inside the brick arcs. This contour works as a boundary between the interiors of the Sunday school and the outdoors. The glass is a symbol of transparency of everything happening within, and those inside the school can see the St. Nicholas the Miracle Worker Temple, which is the architectural centerpiece of the facility.
