Exhibition of the winning projects of 2019 Golden Trezzini Awards, now taking place at the Ioannovsky Ravelin within the Peter and Paul Fortress, has been prolonged.
“Architecture as Art” exhibition that showcases the winning and participating works of the last year Golden Trezzini competition is not closing tomorrow, September 29, as it had been announced before. It remains open till October 13.
The exposition presents the winning projects from the 2nd All-Russian Awards with global participation, named after the first architect of St. Petersburg – Domenico Trezzini (1670–1734).
Besides the works by the Golden Trezzini winners, the exhibition showcases a slideshow of all the 350 projects submitted to the Awards by participants from 50+ cities and regions of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Abkhazia, Great Britain, Latvia, the UAE, South Korea, and Finland.
“The Golden Trezzini Awards has always been the world’s only competition in the field of architecture and design where the winning works are added to the state museum’s collection. Today, works by our winners are exhibited at Peter and Paul Fortress, but as soon as the exhibition closes, these projects will augment the collection of the State Museum of St. Petersburg History,” says Pavel Chernyakov, Chairman of the Awards Arrangements Committee.

The International Golden Trezzini Awards for Architecture and Design have been held since 2018. The motto of the Awards is “Architecture as Art.” The Awards are intended to acknowledge and promote architectural and designer projects that amount to works of art.
The Honorary Chairman of the International Council of the Awards is Mikhail Piotrovsky, General Director of the State Hermitage, St. Petersburg.
Less than 3 weeks is left to apply for the Third International Golden Trezzini Awards for Architecture and Design. Entries can be submitted at www.goldtrezzini.ru/en/ till October 15, 2020. Participation is free of charge. 300+ projects from Argentina, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Lebanon, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Spain, Syria, Turkey, Ukraine, the UAE, and the USA are approved for participation at the moment.
