More than 200 projects nominated for 2021 Golden Trezzini Awards

News of the Awards

The number of projects nominated for the Domenico Trezzini statuettes in various categories has exceeded two hundred. Projects from 53 countries are participating.

2021 Golden Trezzini Awards nominee, “Best Architectural Design for Museum” category: Naturalis Biodiversity Center (Leiden, the Netherlands), Neutelings Riedijk Architects.

The Organizing Committee of the Fourth International Golden Trezzini Awards for Architecture and Design has approved the participation for more than 200 projects.

2021 Golden Trezzini Awards nominee, “Best Project of Public Building or Facility” category: Oasys + System, The Artificial Breathing Palm Modular Structure System (Abu Dhabi, the UAE), MASK Architects.

Admission means that the application meets the formal requirements of the competition. The evaluation of the projects will be performed by the Qualification Committee and the Jury of the Golden Trezzini Awards.

Projects already accepted for participation represent 53 countries from all continents, except Antarctica. These are Albania, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Cuba, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Finland, France, Great Britain, Greece, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Korea, Lebanon , Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Panama, Peru, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sri -Lanka, Syria, UAE, USA, and Uzbekistan.

2021 Golden Trezzini Awards nominee, “Best Implemented Project of Private Residence” category: Casa Prebarco (Puertecillo, Chile), 2DM arquitectos.

The Golden Trezzini Awards for Architecture and Design are named after Domenico Trezzini (1670—1734), Russian architect of Swiss origin, the first architect of St. Petersburg. The main objective of the Awards is turning the most artistically valuable architectural, design, restoration, scenography, and exhibition projects into museum objects. The Honorary Chairman of the International Council for the Golden Trezzini Awards is Mikhail Piotrovsky, President of the World Club of St. Petersburgers and General Director of the State Hermitage.

2021 Golden Trezzini Awards winners will be awarded in November during the Gala-Night at the Mikhailovsky Theatre. The best projects by competitors will be added to the collection of the Architectural Graphics Fund at the Museum of St. Petersburg History and take part in an annual exhibition at the Peter and Paul Fortress.
