300 entries have been accepted to compete for the Third Golden Trezzini Awards. Less than three weeks left to submit an application.
Entries for 20 nominations of the Third Golden Trezzini Awards are being accepted till October 15, 2020, inclusive. Today, with less than three weeks to deadline, 300 projects have been approved for participation. These are projects from Argentina, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Lebanon, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Spain, Syria, Turkey, Ukraine, the UAE, and the USA.
2020 Golden Trezzini Awards will be arranged in two stages. Finalists of the first stage will be shortlisted by the Qualification Committee from May 15 through November 2. The finalists will be announced on November 5. From November 6 through 20, projects submitted by the finalists will be evaluated by the international Jury. The Jury will vote online, and will be audited by the Borenius legal company. The winners are to be announced on December 1.
The Awards winners will be awarded with Golden Trezzini figurines and diplomas during the ceremony which will take place at Belmond Grand Hotel Europe, St Petersburg, on December 1, 2020.
The International Golden Trezzini Awards for Architecture and Design are named after Domenico Trezzini (1670—1734), Russian architect of Swiss origin, the first architect of St. Petersburg. The Awards have been held since 2018. The motto of the Awards is “Architecture as Art.” The Awards are intended to acknowledge and promote architectural and designer projects that amount to works of art.
The Honorary Chairman of the International Council of the Awards is Mikhail Piotrovsky, General Director of the State Hermitage, St. Petersburg.
