Honourable & Special Mention Winners of 2021 Golden Trezzini Awards announced

Jubilees are for gifts! And while gifts are not given in advance, organizers of the Awards named after the first architect of St. Petersburg Domenico Trezzini decided to make an exception.

In honour of the upcoming 5th anniversary of the Golden Trezzini, the Organizing Committee of the Awards will send Honourable Mention certificates to nominees (excluding winners and finalists) who received 7 or more points at the voting of the Qualification Committee, as well as Special Mention certificates to those who received from 5 to 6.9 points. Let us remind you that the evaluations of the projects were done on a 10-point scale.

Certain participants distinguished by the members of the Qualification Committee, the International Council and the Jury will be presented certificates of both categories. Besides that, Honourable Mention certificates will be presented to 10 nominees following the winner of Premio del Pubblico (People’s Choice Award) based on Facebook voting.

All the nominees awarded with certificates will receive them as high resolution PDF files suitable for printing. Issuing the certificates is to take some time, and they will be emailed after December 15, 2021. The Organizing Committee thanks the winners for their patience and understanding.

Any 2021 Golden Trezzini participant not included in the above categories can receive a Certificate of Nomination upon request.

We have also designed Honourable Mention and Special Mention seals. These are PNG images with transparent background that holders of the relevant certificates can use on their websites, social networks, portfolios, advertising campaigns etc. Please send a request to [email protected] to receive your seal by email and distinguish your project from competitors.

2021 Golden Trezzini Awards winners were announced on November 15, 2021, at the Hermitage Theatre, St. Petersburg, Russia. The list of 2021 Golden Trezzini winners embraced projects from 14 countries, namely Brazil, China, El Salvador, India, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Spain, and UK. The Golden Trezzini Awards for Architecture and Design, being held under the auspices of the Worldwide St. Petersburg Club, are named after Domenico Trezzini (1670—1734), Russian architect of Swiss origin, the first architect of St. Petersburg. The Awards have been taking place since 2018, under the patronage of the Municipality of the City of Lugano and supported by the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in St. Petersburg, Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, the Embassy of Russia in Switzerland, the Embassy of Switzerland in Russia, the Consulate General of Switzerland in St. Petersburg, Department of Culture and Tourism — Abu Dhabi, and a number of other organisations and institutions. The main objective of the Awards is turning the most artistically valuable architectural, design, restoration, scenography, and exhibition projects into museum objects. The Honorary Chairman of the International Council for the Golden Trezzini Awards is Mikhail Piotrovsky, President of the Worldwide St. Petersburg Club and General Director of the State Hermitage. The best projects by competitors will be added to the collection of the Architectural Graphics Fund at the Museum of St. Petersburg History and take part in an annual exhibition.
