TREST Group of Companies supports selection of the best examples of today's brick architecture

TREST Group of Companies has become a new partner of the Golden Trezzini Awards in 2026. The group of companies is well known on the market of Northwest Russia for its signature product — residential complexes built of brick. In support of the awards, the developer has decided to establish a partner category: “Best Implemented Architectural Project Using Brick”. First Deputy CEO of TREST Group of Companies Anzor Bersirov has joined the awards jury.

“Brick has always been and remains the most reliable building material, proven over centuries,” notes Anzor Bersirov. “And today it is once again taking an important place in architecture, becoming increasingly in demand. Modern technologies have simplified work with the material and opened up broad opportunities for creating original masonry, textures, and architectural forms. It is no coincidence that brick is more and more frequently used in landmark elite projects around the world. For the TREST Group of Companies, this material has always held special significance. From our own experience we know that working with brick requires special skills and abilities from the architect. It is important not simply to choose the material, but to unlock its potential, to achieve harmony, expressiveness, and visual lightness. And in this new category we want to recognize professionals who have a subtle feel for brick and know how to create bright, contemporary architecture with its help.”

“The use of such a traditional material as brick is a challenge for the architect and the builder, a kind of test of mastery,” says Pavel Chernyakov, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Golden Trezzini Awards. “I expect that original and highly professional works will be submitted to the category, which the experts will review with interest.”

The new category accepts realized projects of residential and non-residential buildings and structures in which brick is the key material that determines the architectural and artistic appearance and structural features of the object. Interior projects are not considered in this category. Projects must have been realized between 2024 and 2026; the geography of nominees is unrestricted — applications are accepted from Russia and from abroad. As in all other categories of the Golden Trezzini Awards 2026, applications can be submitted on the official awards website https://www.goldtrezzini.ru until 15 September. Participation is free of charge.

The international Golden Trezzini Awards were founded in 2018 and is named after the Russian architect of Swiss origin, the first architect of St. Petersburg, Domenico Trezzini. Golden Trezzini is the official award of the Worldwide St. Petersburg Club. Its motto is “Architecture as Art,” and the main prize is a gilded figurine of Domenico Trezzini crafted by the masters of the Imperial Porcelain Manufactory. The works of the Awards laureates are exhibited annually at an exhibition in the Peter and Paul Fortress and enter the collections of the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg. The International Council of the Awards is headed by the President of the Worldwide St. Petersburg Club and General Director of the State Hermitage Museum, Mikhail Piotrovsky. The jury includes more than 200 experts from 35 countries. During the existence of the Golden Trezzini Awards, more than 6,400 projects from 114 countries have been submitted. The winners of the 9th International Golden Trezzini Awards will be announced on 20 November during the ceremony at the State Hermitage Museum.
