The school was built on the former site of school No. 53, which was demolished in 2018.
The planning structure of the building is largely driven by the constraints of the tight plot allocated for construction, as well as strict height limitations, which also shaped the structural solutions. The visual distinctiveness of the school lies in the reimagining of the layout of the educational institution's rectangular functional blocks to fit the unique characteristics of the site.
The use of brick and white plaster in the finishes is an attempt to maintain a connection with the neighboring Theodore Archbishop's Metochion and the Cathedral of the Feodorovskaya Icon of the Mother of God. The extensive use of glass in the "white" educational section stems from a desire to partially dissolve the rather massive volume and balance it with the surrounding buildings, while also making the classrooms brighter. Meanwhile, the arched and narrow vertical window openings of the brick section serve as a kind of homage to the neighboring temple ensemble.
