A house in a contemporary style with elements of traditional Oriental architecture. It is designed for a young family as a place of winter recreation on the shore of the snow-covered Katun near a ski slope.
The monumental volume of concrete panels and the warm wooden mansard create a contrasting architecture. In the decorative elements the theme of active mountain recreation can be traced: for example, alpinist cables on the mansard.
The floor finish of flagstone, the walls of thermo-ash and smoked oak, complemented by a “shchepa” (wood-chip) roof, merge with the austere Altai landscape, turning the house into a secluded winter refuge for a large family.
