About the project (provided by the applicant)
Abgir (Abgir) project presents the proposed development plan of the residential complex and multi-functional rural spaces in Qeshm Island based on the water challenges of this island, and to increase the water intake efficiency of this residential complex, it is stretched on the horizon instead of the height.
The idea of the ABGIR project is derived from the BADGIR (Zero Energy Local Cooling System) system. In the wind deflector system, it is a structure that is built on the buildings and by receiving the wind and transferring it to the interior spaces of the building, it causes natural cooling.
ABGIR creates a structure like a windbreak on top of buildings, which receives air humidity through this structure and collects it for consumption.
The ABGIR project is not only about architectural design, but also seeks to solve the problems caused by the lack of water in this region. The range of these problems is very wide and includes from culture to health and economy.
