Located in the mountainous region of Azerbaijan, Lachin has a distinctive architectural identity shaped by the traditions of Caucasian Albanian and Azerbaijani architecture.
The project aims to preserve and reinterpret this heritage through a contemporary architectural language rather than replicate historical forms. Local limestone, clean horizontal volumes, stone arches, and carefully integrated public spaces establish a dialogue between tradition and modernity. Respecting the natural topography and existing urban context, the complex complements the surrounding environment while introducing a refined contemporary character. More than a new building, it symbolizes the revival of traditional architecture, creating a meaningful connection between cultural memory, local identity, and the future.
