Project:
Air Terminal of Tunoshna Minor Airport
Category:
Best Project of Public Building or Facility
About the project (provided by the applicant):
The site is divided into two triangular fragments — a part with picturesque valleys and tall trees, and the building that repeats smooth natural lines.
The floating triangular roof refers to the first aeroplanes, and the slightly inclined structure resembles a delta plane caught with the wind. The interior volumes repeat the geometry of the landscape park. Walls are covered with white glass, which is associated with the cultural and historical features of the region. Actually, laconism and austerity represent the provincial identity of Yaroslavl.
