About the project
Kirill Simonov, the Senior choreographer of the Musical Theater of Republic of Karelia, designed his ballet performance based on Alice in Wonderland to music by Efrem Podgaits. The absurd worlds that Alisa is travelling through have been presented vividly and unconventionally. The stage design solutions by Denis Sazonov, complemented by unique costumes – even fabrics for them were made from scratch under specially made sketches – helps bringing our everyday life to the stage and merge it with Lewis Carrol’s world. This is no longer a story for kids – it is a modern performance for the entire family.
