About the project
During the years after the revolution in Iran, the government tried to reduce free social relations as much as possible and to destroy many social activities and popular arts (like shows, public musics, and many kind of celebrations). There is need of a suitable space instead of an old bazaar, an environment that responds to the gatherings and encourages activities for all people. This building was chosen to replace the place of an old bazaar that caused visual pollution being located between two contemporary luxury works, such as the Carpet Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Arts. Proper view of the cultural elements around the site and attention to the site context are proposed.
