Best Implemented Apartment / Private House Interior Design Project

About the project
We drew upon biophilic design principles, which aim to connect people to natural environment and satisfy people's physical and emotional need. Earthy materials help to reinforce a connection to nature so that people are never quite detached from outdoors. ‘Raw meets Refinement’ encapsulated our thoughts. Raw wood, raw stone and lots of greens have been used to create organic warmth, with vibrant colours and tactile textures injecting energy. Generous swathes of wood highlighted with the golden sunlight that flows in through large windows. The narrative was overlaid with earthy furnishings and accessories such as soft-hued textiles made from natural fibers, terracotta, stone and wood artefacts. An attempt at weaving a close-to-nature feel in a typical urban residential space using a confluence of natural energies and materials. A combination that helped the overall objective of earthy simplicity, converting an ordinary home into an integrated design replete with meaningful ideas.
