About the project (provided by the applicant):
This proposal presents a unit for a comfortable eco system in severe Arctic environments. The author followed several guidelines, which were quickly mountable modules, looped above-the-ground heated air bridges, courtyard areas that protect from wind and snow, as well as little effect of the development on the natural environment and the permafrost.
It is a detailed project of a residential unit that ensures reduced snow and wind loads, uses CLT panels and laminated beams, has a ventilated basement and pile foundations, and is equipped with glass modules.
