About the project
The author believes the time has come to change the architecture of rescue service buildings.
By fitting three services into a single facility, he wants all of them to be managed from a common control center. The architectural look was inspired by the myth about Phoenix who rises from the ashes and the legends about old shallops drifting down the river.
The design site is located near the Church of John the Precursor, the federal listed memorial, which naturally affected the layout of the rescue center. The facades that outlook the embankment and the church are made from reflective glass to minimize the impact of the newly designed facility on the existing urban environment.
