About the project
Flowers have always been popular with artists. They can be used to speak of love, memories, vanity, and even politics. At least, this was how they thought of flowers in the early 19th century. Bead embroidery pieces from that time can be used to learn all the meanings and symbolics of the floral elements. The exhibition presents about 170 exhibits from the reserves of the History Museum.
The interiors were designed to help the visitor feel all the romantic atmosphere of the old times. The History Museum has got drawings by Andrey and Pavel Bolotov, which became the major inspiration for the exhibition design.
