Art+ National Center for Arts and Crafts on Novaya Portovaya

Art+ is a multifunctional cultural complex on the revitalized waterfront of the former Kazan River Port within the "Novaya Portovaya" district. The project restores the city's connection with the Volga, transforming a degraded industrial area into a public space.

Two stepped, "pixelated" blocks are connected by the "Sky Park" cantilevered roof on V-shaped pillars—a publicly accessible green garden with panoramic terraces overlooking the Volga. Block A is a museum complex with exhibition halls and a conference hall. Block B is a creative cluster with studio lockers for artists and craftsmen. Between the blocks is a central terrace with swimming pools, connecting the street to the waterfront.

The project aligns with the "City on the Water" program and adds 8,500 sq.m of green spaces above the city. The project area is 95,000 sq.m, with 6 stories, and a site area of 42,000 sq.m.
