About the project
Our design, besides considering the main subject of the project, which is “the commemoration of martyrdom, generosity, and Pahlevani”, it has been tried to preserve and revive the indigenous patterns and original Iranian architecture spirit, in a modern framework.
Hence, there are two pivotal design strategies:
— Considering symbolism aspects, like inspired by the architecture of the Zorkhane space and its concepts, creating suspense in the space under the dome to instill a sense of spirituality, or the presence of a cedar (a symbol of resistance) and determining the axis of water (a symbol of holiness and purity). Moreover, respecting the environmental condition. For example, according to thermal capacity of soil, penetration into the depth of the soil provides human thermal comfort in the cold and hot seasons of the year without depending on HVAC.
— Creation of a dynamic and flexible urban space to organize and establish collective events in a different time and environment conditions.
