About the project (provided by the applicant)
Baya is more than just an architectural project; it is a space where ideas come to life, and nature coexists with architecture. This project is a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional Persian Chaharbagh—not through imitation, but with an innovative approach.
The building consists of four minimalist white volumes positioned at the four corners of the site: the administrative space, design studio, meeting hall, and construction workshop. Between these volumes, a vibrant garden flows, integrating seamlessly with the architecture, while narrow, transparent corridors connect the spaces.
At Baya, nature is an intrinsic part of the design, not just an added element. The use of native plants and central courtyards creates a dynamic environment. The contrast between the pure white exterior and the warmth of wooden interiors makes the architecture feel more human and inviting, while natural light enhances the space’s dynamism throughout the day.
